So far,I have managed to complete some of the tasks assigned for this week but not all of them. I enjoyed reading about ABCD method, but I am not sure I have yet reached full understanding of it. I plan on reading it a few times more before I set the objectives of my project. I have chosen a class of students for my project and I have described them on Nicenet.. I will observe them more closely in the next few days.
I enjoyed searching for information using different search engines but I chose to write about http://www.merriam-webster.com/ because it suits me both as a teacher and a translator.
Hello
ReplyDeleteYes ABCD is a little complicated at the beginning but after many times of careful reading is being more easy. You are lucky that you teach classes. I'm waiting to teach the class to apply what I learn.

Hi Dragana,
ReplyDeleteYes, initially it was also a new concept for me, but when I read the guidelines about writing ABCD objectives given the course blog then things became clearer. I think, the webpage has clear description, instructions and examples of writing objective model. What do you say?
Hi Tariq,
ReplyDeleteIt was hard in the beginning but now I have a feeling that I have been using it for a long time

I have finally managed to finish my ABCD objective and it feels great. I worked on it for almost a week together with my students trying to set the tasks properly and to make all the necessary preparations. I observed my students in order to determine if my tasks would be appropriate for them or not. Now I am sure they will be. Learning about the ABCD really made me think how I could improve my teaching methods.I am looking forward to working more on it and doing some more research.
ReplyDeleteHello Dragana,
ReplyDeleteYou are absolutely right when you say that you feel that you have been using it for long time. I do feel the same. Indeed, objectives really helps in dertermining the way you are teaching and way your students are learning. The outcome is different when you set your objectives correctly.
Myself was finding it hard in the beginning, but now, I can say that I am more confident.
